Driemanspolder neighborhood association lets drones fly for thermal imaging

The Driemanspolder Interest Group supports residents of the low-rise homes in Driemanspolder on issues of energy conservation, insulation and taking steps toward natural gas-free living.

After a successful purchasing campaign for HR++ glass and a pilot with the recording of thermal images with the help of a drone, the entire low-rise neighborhood will now be imaged. The thermal images provide good insight into which parts of the house are less well insulated or where heat loss occurs. The drone footage will be taken in January 2026, when the temperature difference between inside and outside is at least 15 degrees. To properly inform all residents about this action, thermographer and drone pilot Marc Schouten of UwDroneService will come to the members' meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 18, to give an explanation.

If you live in the low-rise Driemanspolder area (district 13), you are welcome, even if you are not yet a member, at 8 p.m. in the ONC auditorium, Clauslaan 4, Zoetermeer.
