Assistance, advance allowance
Have you applied for benefits? And don't have enough money to wait for the first benefit payment? Then you can get an initial advance payment within 4 weeks of applying for the benefit.
How does an advance payment work?
- Do you want to request an advance? If so, tell the staff member handling your request.
- The advance is at least 90% of the amount of your benefit.
- Have we not yet made a decision on your application? Then you will receive a new advance every 4 weeks.
- Are you still not entitled to benefits? Then you must repay all advances.
When can we refuse an advance payment?
- If you are under 27, you will not receive an advance payment within 4 weeks. This is because you have only applied. You can only apply after 4 weeks. After application, however, you may be entitled to an advance.
- If it is clear from the outset when you apply that you are not entitled to benefits, we will not give you an advance.
- If you do not provide the supporting documents we need, you will not receive an advance payment.
