Passport, ID card and driver's license

Identity card

You can apply for an identity card (ID card) in the municipality where you are registered. An ID card is valid in most European countries.

Passport

You apply for a passport in the municipality where you are registered. A passport is valid in all countries.

Second passport

You can apply for a second passport if you travel a lot to countries in conflict. Or if you are temporarily without a passport because of a visa application.

Traveling with children

If you are traveling abroad with your child, your child will need his or her own passport or identity card. In addition, you may need permission from the other parent if you wish to travel alone with your minor child.

Apply for driver's license

Are you applying for a driver's license for the first time? If so, you must make an appointment at the front desk.

License renewal

You can renew your driver's license (online), have a category added, or request a reissue after invalidation.

Moped Driver's License

You need a moped license to ride a moped, motorized bicycle or microcar.

Alien passport

Do you have a valid residence permit? But not (yet) the Dutch nationality? Then you can apply for a foreigner's passport.

Refugee Passport

You apply for this passport if you have a refugee status.
