In every district in Zoetermeer, a WAS team is active. In these teams, residents and local police officers work together.

The municipality provides a basic network of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) spread throughout the city.

A pipeline from Rotterdam to Amsterdam runs through the Oosterheem district and along the eastern border of the Rokkeveen district.

In the event of domestic violence or a serious threat of domestic violence, the mayor can impose a temporary restraining order.

The Zoetermeer Healthcare and Safety Chamber supports cooperation between healthcare and welfare organisations, the police, the municipality and other partners.
