Enforcement

In every district there are enforcement officers active. You can recognize them by their special uniforms. The enforcement officers keep an eye on both safety and pollution.

Disaster or crisis

In the event of a disaster in your area, you want to know what is going on and what to do.

Neighborhood Prevention

You can help make your neighborhood safer by starting a Neighborhood WhatsApp group.

Neighborhood and Agent Together (WAS)

In every district in Zoetermeer, a WAS team is active. In these teams, residents and local police officers work together.

AEDs

The municipality provides a basic network of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) spread throughout the city.

Alcohol utilization, drug and nitrous oxide ban

In several places in the city, alcohol consumption, drugs and laughing gas are prohibited.

Undermining

Suspicious situations may be related to (organised) crime. You too may come into contact with it, consciously or unconsciously.

We work together with the police, among others, to make and keep Zoetermeer a safe city.

CO2 line

A pipeline from Rotterdam to Amsterdam runs through the Oosterheem district and along the eastern border of the Rokkeveen district.

In the event of domestic violence or a serious threat of domestic violence, the mayor can impose a temporary restraining order.

The Zoetermeer Healthcare and Safety Chamber supports cooperation between healthcare and welfare organisations, the police, the municipality and other partners.
