An WAS team is active in every neighborhood in Zoetermeer. In these teams, local residents and neighborhood policemen work together.

The municipality provides a basic network of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the city.

Several places in the city do not allow drinking alcohol, drugs and nitrous oxide.
