Chapeau medal for Ben Hagenaar

In the midst of family, volunteers and residents of Rokkeveen, Ben Hagenaar was put in the limelight. He received the Chapeau pin from alderman Marijke van der Meer. With this gesture the municipality expresses its appreciation for people who dedicate themselves to the quality of life in the neighborhoods and who show great commitment to their neighborhood.

Ben Hagenaar has been a dedicated volunteer for over 20 years. In recent years as proud chairman of neighborhood association Rokkeveen.

Councilman Van der Meer praised his commitment to creating a warm and close-knit community where area residents can meet and support each other. "Mr. Hagenaar shows tirelessness and is motivated by joy and gratitude of others. His commitment and dedication to the neighborhood are an inspiration to many."

Hagenaar received the statuette partly because every Wednesday he and a group of volunteers are ready to bring a warm meal and a feeling of solidarity to the residents. With his inspiring approach, Ben Hagenaar knows how to manage the team of volunteers well and to make a valuable contribution to the fight against loneliness.
