To keep Zoetermeer livable and tidy, Team Enforcement monitors orphan and abandoned bicycles. An orphan bike is a bicycle that is parked outside and has not been used for a long time. In addition, the owner of the bike is unknown. You can recognize a wrecked bike by flat tires, broken spokes and missing saddles.

If your bicycle or e-bike is parked in the same place for more than 21 days, the municipality is authorized to remove the orphan bike. A wrecked bike, may be removed by the municipality after only 14 days. The bikes are labeled on the handlebars. The label states that this bike will be taken away soon if the owner does not remove the bike.

Do you see an orphaned or wrecked bicycle in the street, at a streetcar stop or in a shopping center? Then make a report to Team Enforcement. The bicycle will then be removed after 14 or 21 days, or at the next collection time. This is how we all keep the streets of Zoetermeer clean and livable.
