Workplace name changed to 'location Southbound 9'
The Werkplein is now called "location Zuidwaarts 9," referring to its address. The reason for this change is the opening of the 'Work Center' at Promenade 265, which is 140 meters away from the Werkplein. Using the names "Work Center" and "Werkplein" at such a short distance from each other can be confusing for residents and businesses, the municipality believes.
Work Center
At the Work Center, since June 27, residents and businesses can walk in without an appointment for information, advice and small-scale events. The Work Center is a one-stop shop for questions about work, (re)training and personnel. Using the name "Work Center" is prescribed by the government.
Workplace
At "location Zuidwaarts 9," it houses, among others, the Zoetermeer municipality's welfare department, the UWV, compulsory education officers and the Entrepreneurs' House.
