New bulbs for 339 lampposts in Zoetermeer
Lamps of 339 lampposts along main roads in Zoetermeer are in need of replacement. This so that the road remains well lit. The new lamps are LED, with the advantage that they are more energy efficient and shine less brightly in the dark. The road then remains well lit, but there is not too much disturbing light (light pollution).
The lights are 12 to 15 meters high and are located along the road or in the median. Temporary traffic measures are needed to change the lights safely: the speed limit will be reduced or a lane will be partially blocked off.
Replacing the lights will take several weeks and will take place both during the day and at night. At night, especially in busy areas so that the city remains easily accessible. The work is scheduled from Aug. 25 through Nov. 21, 2025.
You can find the locations of the work on the Melvin NDW Zoetermeer website .
