Opening 100th Kwiekbeweegroute in the Netherlands

On Wednesday, June 25, the 100th Kwiekbeweegroute of the Netherlands was festively opened in Seghwaert. Alderman Blansjaar performed the official opening, after which a group of enthusiastic residents walked the route with the guidance of Physiotherapy Seghwaert.

The construction of this exercise route came about thanks to a great collaboration between Hof van Seghwaert, Gro-up, Physiotherapy Seghwaert, Inzet-Petunia Garden and Seghwaert op Dreef. Together they are committed to a healthy, active neighborhood where exercise is accessible to everyone.

A Kwiek route is an exercise-friendly walking path of about 1.7 kilometers through the neighborhood. The route is marked with arrows on paving stones. Along the way there are signs with exercises that can be done with the street furniture such as benches, fences or walls. Ideal to get moving in an accessible way!

The route is fun to walk together - with a neighbor, friend or in a group. Afterwards, you can socialize with a cup of coffee or tea at Inzet-Petunia Garden or Hof van Seghwaert.

Extra tip: At several times this summer, you can also walk the route under the guidance of Physiotherapy Seghwaert.

Get moving - for your health as well as fun!
