Nature Garden round-trip walk on Sunday, Sept. 28
Here and there the beautiful purple cattails still catch the eye, but otherwise in the Nature Garden the flowering season is as good as over. It is the time of the bright red berries of the Gelderland rose, the pears in the standard orchard and the apples and medlars along the paths. The first mushrooms are presenting themselves again. (Last year a count in the Nature Garden came up with more than 80 species).
Autumn is also a wonderful time to walk in the Nature Garden. You are welcome to walk with one of the guides on Sunday, September 28, who will take you to see what special things are currently on display and be happy to tell you about them.
The tour lasts over an hour; participation is free. The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the picnic table opposite where West Point stood (Westerpark entrance via Turfberg at No. 1, on the signs follow towards Nature Garden/West Point).
The tour is less suitable for users of walkers and wheelchairs. They can visit part of the Nature Garden through a separate entrance.
Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
