Neighborhood Party & Opening Week of Connection

Description: Festive opening of the Week of Connection with live performances (including Michael Jackson Tribute, Ricky Daniels, The Dutch Boy George), bouncy castle, face painting, popcorn, poffertjes and more. Free admission and free dancing.

Monday, Oct. 13

Neighborhood Soccer Tournament
Time: 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. (ages 6-12), 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. (ages 12-18)
Location: Soccer field at IKC The Sapphire
Description: Walk-in athletic activity. Teams will be assigned on site.

Description: Free walk-in with free coffee and tea. Meeting and conversation in an informal atmosphere.

Conversation afternoon - InZet Rokkeveen
Time: 13:00 - 16:00
Location: Walk-in location Rokkeveen, Nathaliegang 79 (next to the library)
Description: Free walk-in with coffee and conversations about meeting, participating in the neighborhood, positive health and meetings such as 'inZet better for yourself'. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation and meet new people.

High Tea

Healingsession
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Tunnel Greenhouse, Wijktuin Rokkeveen
Description: As part of the Week of Connection, a special healing session will take place. We start with a smudging ritual with sage to release tensions and unwanted energies. This is followed by a short, calming meditation and a session with healing sounds of shamanic drums. The session takes place on a chair; warm clothing is recommended due to the season.
Admission: Free walk-in - everyone is welcome.

Performance 'Doom or Doom'
Time: 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Location: Neighborhood Center The Kite
Description: Theater and after-dinner discussion about the next step after retirement. Free walk-in, includes soup and a drink. Free admission.

Neighborhood Round - WAS Neighborhood Prevention
Time: 19:00 - 20:00 walk-in, 20:00 neighborhood round
Location: InZet Rokkeveen, Nathaliegang 79
Description: During the walk-in you can meet members of WAS Neighborhood Prevention. WAS is a collaboration between residents and neighborhood police officers who are committed to a safe and livable neighborhood. After the walk-in, the volunteers will go on a joint tour of the neighborhood to pick up signals and be visibly present. Registration is not necessary.

Painting Workshop - Wijkcentrum De Vlieger

Description: Painting clinic by artist collective Atelier 18/19, known for exhibitions in the neighborhood. Free walk-in, free participation.

Halloween Party - Wijkcentrum De Vlieger
Time: 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Neighborhood Center The Kite
Description: Halloween party for children and families with festive decorations, activities and goodies. Free walk-in, free admission.

Insect Hotel Making Workshop - Wijktuin Rokkeveen
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Tunnel greenhouse in the parking lot of Wijktuin Rokkeveen, Spectrumsingel 50
Description: Children make an insect hotel from wood and natural materials, intended for wild bees and other insects. Bring your own autumn leaves or a happy stone to decorate. Maximum 25 participants, full = full. Cost: € 2.

Sunday, Oct. 19

Autumn party with activities
Time: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Stadsboerderij De Balijhoeve
Description: The closing party of the Week of Connection and offers activities such as skippyball trail, face painting, roasting knakworstjes over the fire, and crafts. A game pass costs 3 euros, but is free with a ZoetermeerPas.
