4 employees of Zoetermeer municipality receive a practical certificate

During a festive gathering, four employees of the Zoetermeer municipality received a practical certificate. In the presence of family members and supervisors, Ron Eversteijn, Dennis Krol, Sander Meijeringh and Camiel Eggink received their certificates from the hands of aldermen Iedema, Velzen and Weerwag.

The practical certificate is an official recognition of the practical skills candidates have acquired within their jobs. The statement is thus a confirmation of their commitment and professionalism. The theme of the meeting was appreciation, recognition and future prospects.

Official recognition

Alderman Jan Iedema emphasizes the importance of the practical certificate: 'With the practical certificate we recognize the value of learning on the shop floor. It offers people without a diploma a chance to make their skills visible and increases their perspective on sustainable employability.

Alderman Bouke Velzen: 'Nice to be able to do this together with De Binnenbaan.
These top people make a difference within our organization every day. With the practical certificate we are not only giving them the official recognition they deserve, but also a wonderful workplace in our city hall.'

Alderman Ronald Weerwag expressed his appreciation for the commitment of the employees:
'These employees perform their work with great commitment. The practical certificate is recognition for the work they do every day. It is good that we emphasize that in this way.'

Collaboration for inclusive labor market

The award highlights the importance of cooperation between employers, educational institutions and civil society organizations. Short-term on-the-job training gives people the opportunity to develop in a work environment that matches their capabilities. This contributes to an inclusive labor market.

About the practice statement

A practical certificate is a document that demonstrates that a person can perform certain work independently and properly. The skills are taught and assessed on the job, without classroom training. The certificate is intended for people who do not have a degree (yet), but who show that they are doing valuable work.

It increases their chances in the labor market and contributes to personal development and social participation. In this track, the candidates not only gained practical experience, but also invested in their communication skills. This deserves recognition.
