The end of 2025 is approaching and Zoetermeer is ready for a festive evening. Enjoy the two spectacular light shows on the Markt or join in the celebrations at the Hitmachine NYE Festival youth party in SilverDome. The police, fire department, enforcement officers, volunteers, and extra security guards will work together to ensure a safe celebration.
NYE Lightshows
On Wednesday, December 31, there will be two light shows on the Market Square. The first one starts at 7:00 p.m. and is especially for children. At 11:30 p.m., the big show begins with music, a review of the year on large screens, and a spectacular countdown show at midnight.
Fireworks-free zones
Fireworks are prohibited in designated fireworks-free zones, such as parks, the Market Square, and SilverDome. The exact locations can be found at www.zoetermeer.nl/oudennieuw.
Closing waste bins
To prevent as much damage as possible, the municipality will remove any flammable materials lying around in the city. All underground waste and paper containers will be closed on December 31 from 4 p.m. and will reopen the following morning. The two municipal parking garages on Osylaan and under the CKC will also be closed.
