What should you do?
- The objection must be received by us within 6 weeks from the date of the assessment notice.
- You will receive a confirmation from us within 5 working days.
Enclose proof
Please send proof with your objection.
Examples:
- When moving ⇒ send a copy of the termination of the lease or the deed of delivery of the sale of your home.
- When your dog dies ⇒ please submit a statement from the veterinarian.
Deferral of payment
If you file an objection, you are obliged to pay the amount of the assessment before the due date. Only if you expressly request postponement of payment in your objection will you be granted postponement of payment for the disputed amount only.
Objection inadmissible
Do you file your objection after the period of 6 weeks after the date of the assessment notice? Then your objection will be declared 'inadmissible'. This means that your objection does not meet the formal legal requirements. The objection will still be handled ex officio. We will process your objection, but you cannot appeal the subsequent decision to the court.
