Celebrating 80 years of freedom was central throughout the day, with room for both celebration and reflection.
Speed date with veterans
In the Story House, visitors could talk to veterans during the special speed date program, which grew into one of the most appreciated parts of the day. Young and old listened with fascination to the personal stories and experiences - an impressive way to reflect on the value of freedom.
Peak in the afternoon
The children's program proved to be more popular than expected. Families flocked to the many activities and performances, with the highlight being the arrival of Kabouter Plop. As the day progressed, the grounds filled up more and more and the festival reached its peak in the afternoon with the spectacular performance by Paul Elstak. The performance by Wipneus and Pim provided festive scenes and the Dutch party with Sven Versteeg got the audience moving.
Spectacular ending
