Residents in Palenstein call on each other to get acquainted
Something that 'seems' very common but no longer 'is' so obvious still happens in Palenstein. As part of NLdoet, Annemieke and Vincent of the Litter Brigade Palenstein went into 'their' neighborhood on Saturday afternoon, February 15. They went door-to-door and flyered for NLdoet 2025 and personally invited a large number of neighbors of the newly built houses to join them on Saturday afternoon March 15 to give the neighborhood a facelift by picking up litter and gardening in the neighborhood garden the 'Ambachtsheerlijkheid'.
They were very nice spontaneous introductions where 2 new enthusiastic neighbors immediately joined the Litter Brigade. This is a group of neighbors who together once a month on the 2nd Wednesday evening of the month from 19:00 to 20:00 the neighborhood to pick up litter. "What nice new residents Palenstein has gained!" was Annemieke's reaction.
