Coming soon by appointment to the Self-Help Depot

As of February 1, 2025, a visit to the Self-Deposit will be possible by appointment only. With this news release, we would like to prepare you for the arrival of the new appointment system.

Appointment System

With the appointment system, we distribute the crowds at the depot better throughout the day. As of February 1, you will therefore no longer be stuck in traffic and you will have more space to separate and dispose of your waste. In addition, the system provides more safety for you and our employees.

Transition period

An appointment system is not entirely new, because during the corona period you could also bring your waste by appointment. However, the system we are going to use now is different than before and we do understand that this will take some getting used to. That is why we have established a transition period from November to February.

During this period you can already view the website where you can make an appointment and you may also already make an appointment, but this is not yet mandatory. From February 1, however, it will be mandatory and from then on you will also notice at the depot that the crowds will be better distributed throughout the day.

Making an appointment

You can make an appointment for the Self-Delivery Depot online or by phone. Go to www.zoetermeer.nl/afspraak-zelfbrengdepot or call Waste Collection Customer Service at 14 079 option 2. You choose a date and time period that is convenient and you provide the license plate number of the car you are bringing the waste with. The time period you choose gives you 15 minutes to drive onto the depot.

waste disposal pass

You are used to accessing the depot with your yellow waste disposal pass . This will not change. Making an appointment only adds to this. So never forget to bring your waste disposal pass and always make an appointment to take your waste away before your visit starting Feb. 1, 2025.

The Citizens' Advisory Council recommended that nothing be changed about the collection of bulky waste. So why this change anyway?

The college has already decided in 2022 that there will be an appointment system for the Self-use Depot. Because the citizens' council considered new waste policy earlier this year, the implementation waited until the advice of the citizens' council was known. The citizens' council did not issue an opinion on the Self-use Depot, so this development is being implemented now.
