Blurring: combining hospitality and retail/service industries

A hairdresser serving wine or a restaurant selling its own olive oil. These are just a few examples of blurring. Blurring is about combining and blurring different industries. In practice, this blurring usually involves the serving and/or selling of alcohol at a mixed form of retail and/or service and hospitality industry.

The municipality encourages new initiatives. Of course, these must fit within the laws and regulations. Recently a proposal of the law on the subject of blurring was submitted to the House of Representatives. So something might change, but for the moment we assume the attached letter is based on the currently applicable rules.
