Central park connects Downtown to Dorpsstraat
Following the signing of the tender for the central park, construction will begin in the near future. The central park around the Dobbeplas and the Markt in Zoetermeer will be a green residential zone between the Inner City and Dorpsstraat. In September 2022, the city council adopted the zoning plan for the area.
The plans show more greenery and space for meeting in the area. AW Infrabouw won the tender for the realization of central park. An information meeting on construction activities, phasing and planning will follow in September. Because of the many projects in the Inner City, careful coordination will take place so that the inner city remains easily accessible.
Construction is expected to begin in November 2024 and the project will be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
