Chapeau medal for directors Sustainable Energy Cooperative Zoetermeer

Chairman Rens Schipper and secretary Arie de Jong of Duurzame Energiecoöperatie Zoetermeer received a Chapeau pin from alderman Bouke Velzen on Oct. 8 for supporting residents in making homes more sustainable.

In 10 years, the Duurzame Energiecoöperatie Zoetermeer (DEZo) developed into an indispensable partner of the municipality in making Zoetermeer more sustainable. On October 8, they looked back on 10 years of successful cooperation on energy transition. "There is great appreciation for their perseverance and commitment," said Bouke Velzen. "Thanks to the efforts of enthusiastic energy coaches, many Zoetermeer residents have taken steps to make their homes more sustainable. DEZo not only created a close-knit community, but also stimulated resident initiatives that strengthen Zoetermeer's energy network. The success of the realized solar roofs and the plans for future projects show what is possible through joint efforts. We watch with anticipation what the next 10 years will bring."
