Schedule for election day, March 18, 2026
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the polling stations in Zoetermeer will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for residents who wish to vote. After 9:00 p.m., all members of a polling station will count the votes at the party level. This means that we will only look at how many votes each party has received.
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, we will count all votes per candidate from each party during the day with a group of counters. We will conduct this central count at Sportcentrum De Veur, Prismalaan 18 in Zoetermeer.
Polling stations: who does what when?
Each polling station has a morning shift (chairperson and 4 members) and an afternoon shift (chairperson and 4 members). After 9 p.m., the polling station is closed and all chairpersons and all members together count the votes for each party. Thus, the morning shift returns to the polling station in the evening.
The official report will be brought to City Hall after the count by both chairpersons.
Note! This counting sometimes takes until after midnight, depending on the number of votes cast at the polling station. Please take this into account with (public) transportation to and from home.
