Join us as a volunteer for 80 years of freedom
In 2025, Zoetermeer will celebrate a special milestone: 80 years of freedom. A time to reflect on the past and the long period of peace and freedom we have experienced together. Under the theme 'Zoetermeer for each other', we will also emphasize the importance of the efforts of volunteers for a strong, connected society.
Freedom is not self-evident. It is the result of togetherness and commitment. Therefore, we invite everyone to join us in remembering and celebrating this freedom during the events in 2025. And for that we need your help!
Why become a volunteer?
As a volunteer you can:
- Make a difference: You contribute to special events, such as memorial ceremonies, exhibitions and community activities.
- Experience connectedness: You cooperate with others and help make Zoetermeer closer and stronger.
- Learn and grow: You will develop new skills and gain valuable experiences.

How can you contribute?
There are many ways to help, such as:
- Organizing and coordinating events.
- Assist with activities such as set-up, catering or as host/hostess.
- Make creative contributions, such as for decoration or promotion.
- Assist in educational programs for young people.
