Residential building Eleanor Roosevelt Avenue 3-29
Eleanor Rooseveltlaan 3-29 is one of the 14 locations in Zoetermeer that were designated by the municipal council in 2018 for a rapid start of housing construction in order to meet the great demand for housing in our city.

Status September 2024
Owner and initiator Eleanor BV, in collaboration with Wonam, intends to replace the former Rabobank office at Eleanor Rooseveltlaan 3-29 with 4 apartment buildings that vary in height. The circular field and the play facilities will remain green and public. You can think about this during a neighborhood meeting on September 19, 2024. The Eleanorpark plan complies with the principles that the municipal council has established in a plot passport for this location. These principles include the maximum building height, the number and type of homes and parking. In order to make housing construction possible here, the municipal council has amended the zoning plan.
A number of local residents have appealed against the zoning plan amendment to the Council of State. The Council of State dealt with the appeal earlier this year (2024). However, this did not lead to any changes to the zoning plan. The zoning plan is now irrevocable.

Participation
The draft design was presented to local residents and stakeholders during an online meeting on Tuesday 20 April 2021. View the report of this meeting. From 20 April 2021 to 4 May 2021, local residents could respond to the draft design and make suggestions for the green field via doemee.zoetermeer.nl.

The Final Participation Report answers the questions and responses that were asked during the participation process. It also describes a number of possible adjustments to the plan based on responses, which will be further investigated by the developer during the continuation of the planning process.
In early December 2021, local residents received a letter with a reference to a presentation from developer Wonam about the implemented adjustments. You can find this letter and presentation at the bottom of this page with the documents.
Wonam organized a neighborhood meeting on September 19, 2024 about the status of the plans and further planning. At the bottom of the documents you will find the invitation, the presentation and the report of this meeting.
