St. Nicholas Square

Description

Nicolaasplein is a parking lot located against Dorpsstraat . The square is named after the church located at the square, the Holy Nicholas Church. The Nicolaasplein is connected to the Dorpsstraat, central park and the Stadshart and overlooks the water square the Dobbe. The site is partially street asphalt surrounded by grass and trees.

Conversion and redevelopment of Nicholas Square (including Nicholas Forest)

Work on Nicholas Square will begin in March 2025. The work will last until mid-July. After that, work will take place at Nicolas Grove through early September 2025. Opportunities to hold events at this location during this period will be none to very limited.

Nicolaasplein and Nicolaasbos will be redesigned. In the new situation, the possibility of parking will remain and also the canopy of the old station will remain. In addition, the bowling alley will move from Dobbe Island to Nicolaasplein.
