Festive completion of sustainable Croesinckflat
Residents of the Croesinckflat in Palenstein celebrated the completion of their sustainable apartment in early November. The 136 apartments of VvE De Verdwenen Brug are now energy label A and A+ and ready for a natural gas-free future. The residential building, built in the 1970s, was made energy efficient with new exterior wall insulation, plastic window frames with triple glazing and a CO2-controlled ventilation system. In addition, the roof and balcony railings have been renewed.
BAM Wonen carried out the project in collaboration with biq architects from Rotterdam. In recognition of this special sustainability project, Marcel van Loon, chairman of the VvE, received a Chapeau pin from the municipality. BAM Wonen emphasizes that the approach of this project is an inspiration for other VvEs in Zoetermeer and beyond.
Bouke Velzen, alderman for sustainability and energy transition, calls the Croesinckflat a great example of successful sustainability improvement through collaboration between a VvE and partners such as BAM. "The result is an energy-efficient building that is completely ready for a natural gas-free future. This is something we can be really proud of in Zoetermeer." District alderman Ronald Weerwag adds, "With the completion of De Verdwenen Brug, we celebrate not only a renovated building, but also a stronger neighborhood. This project shows how collaboration with residents and partners creates a pleasant, sustainable and attractive living environment where people feel at home. This is how we build a strong and beautiful Zoetermeer together."
