Photo exhibition: World War II in color

What would World War II have looked like in color? The exhibition 'World War II in Color' brings history to life with impressive colored images. By coloring black and white photos, the past suddenly feels much closer and more personal.

This unique exhibition contains not only international images, but also special photos from the war period in Zoetermeer, made available by the Historical Society Oud Soetermeer (HGO). On large screens you can also watch a short film about the Holocaust, which vividly highlights the events and personal stories from this period.

The exhibition was developed by Jakob Lagerweij, who specializes in coloring historical photos. While black and white images mainly show the grayness of the war, the colored photos provide a new perspective and make the impact even more tangible.

Don't miss this special exhibition and step into the history of 80 years of freedom.
