Area approach Buytenwegh
We are working on a plan for the Buytenwegh neighborhood for the coming years. We are doing this in collaboration with the housing associations, InZet, residents, and other social partners. Drawing up the plan is taking longer than we thought and will not be completed this year.
The neighborhood survey conducted in March 2025 forms the basis for the future plan. We aim to have a draft of this plan ready in the second half of 2026 and will then submit it to the (new) city council for a decision.
Getting started with small initiatives
In the meantime, all kinds of ideas for small improvements to the neighborhood have been gathered from local residents. Residents are very committed to helping with this themselves. Think of setting up joint meals, social activities, and coffee table discussions between young people and fathers (neighborhood fathers). We want to get started on this quickly. This will show that we are all working together to improve the neighborhood.
Neighborhood connectors get in touch
The community liaisons at Gro-up Buurtwerk will actively approach residents who have made suggestions. They will assist them in setting up and carrying out neighborhood activities. The aim is for residents themselves to increasingly carry out these activities by 2026.
