Update February 17, 2023
The RET bus line 170 and EBS bus lines 455 and 71 will run the normal route again from Friday 17 February at 4 p.m. Zuidweg The two bus stops on the A12 under the Nelson Mandela Bridge will remain closed for the time being.
Update January 24, 2023
On Thursday 26 January, 19:00, the Nelson Mandela Bridge will reopen. The NS trains will then also stop at Zoetermeer station. From Friday 27 January, the RandstadRail will stop at Driemanspolder again. From Friday 27 January, there will be no more shuttle buses.
Update December 31, 2022 - A12 is open again
The A12 motorway is open again after the bridge section above the A12 was replaced. However, the work on the bridge is not yet finished. The train and the RandstadRail are running, but it is not possible to get on and off at the RandstadRail stop Driemanspolder and NS station Zoetermeer.
Update December 28, 2022 - HTM duo return
The A12 motorway between Utrecht and The Hague will be completely closed in both directions near Zoetermeer from Tuesday 27 December 22:00 until Saturday morning 31 December 08:00. Due to the closure of the A12, it is expected that the main roads in and around Zoetermeer will be very busy with car traffic. During the work on the bridge, the train and RandstadRail will continue to run, but it will not be possible to get on and off at the RandstadRail stop Driemanspolder and NS station Zoetermeer.
Travelers can use the special HTM duo return. This allows two people to travel through the region for €5 (there and back). There are also children's day tickets For €1.50 a child can travel unlimitedly on HTM buses and trams all day long.
Update December 16, 2022 - Relocation of the bus stop at Zoetermeer station (Rokkeveen)
It is not possible to get on and off at the RandstadRail stop Driemanspolder and NS station Zoetermeer. The Arriva bus stop Mandelabrug on the A12 has also been taken out of service. Are you travelling to the station by car? Then we advise you to park at Lansingerland-Zoetermeer station and take the train or RandstadRail from there. There is ample parking on both sides of this station. Parking is limited at Zoetermeer-Oost station.
Adjusted stop R-net line 170 at Zoetermeer station
Due to the work on the Nelson Mandela Bridge, the bus stop of R-net line 170 at Zoetermeer station in Rokkeveen has been moved to the Mahatma Gandhisingel from Monday 19 December. The duration of this change is not yet known. The map below shows where the temporary bus stops are.

R-net line 455 and city bus 71 will temporarily not stop at Zoetermeer station
R-net line 455 and city bus 71 will temporarily not stop at Zoetermeer Station from Monday 19 December due to the work on the Nelson Mandela Bridge. Line 455 will take a modified route via the Houtsingel and Albert Schweitzersingel. Line 455 will temporarily stop at the Houtsingel stop instead of Zoetermeer Station. The duration of this change is not yet known. The map below shows where the temporary bus stop is.

As it looks now, the train and RandstadRail will continue to run during the work on the bridge. Should it be necessary to stop this for a short period, this will be shared on this website and that of the carriers.
