Free tickets for New Year's performance 'Zoetermeer is my home'
The Municipality of Zoetermeer is organizing a festive New Year's Eve performance followed by a reception at the Stadstheater Zoetermeer on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Together with local talent and residents, this will herald the new year. The performance will take place from 8:15 pm to 9:30 pm, followed by a reception until 10:30 pm. Free tickets for the performance can be ordered through the Stadstheater website from December 20. Tickets are not required to attend the reception.
Special edition with Pedano sisters
This year's performance promises to be a special edition. The Pedano sisters are at the heart of the performance, which this year bears the theme "Zoetermeer is my home. The talented sisters, born and raised in Zoetermeer, are now known for their quirky, versatile musical style. Their work combines both classical and modern influences and manages to appeal to a wide audience, in the Netherlands and far beyond. The Pedano Sisters are on stage worldwide and are well on their way to breaking through internationally with their unique sounds and expressive music.
Zoetermeer talents
Together with other talents from Zoetermeer, Sisters Pedano will take audiences on an artistic journey through the city, from the past to the future. With this special performance, produced by Storytellers, Zoetermeer celebrates the diversity, inclusiveness and connectedness that make Zoetermeer so special.
Mayor Michel Bezuijen is proud of the Pedano sisters and the other talents involved, "Zoetermeer has so much creativity and talent. It is fantastic to be able to share this with the entire city during this special New Year's Eve performance."
Performance only available with ticket
Starting Dec. 20, residents can order tickets for the performance through the City Theatre website. The tickets will be free of charge. More information will be shared at a later date through the municipality's social media channels.
New Year's reception for all
The subsequent New Year's reception is free to attend for all Zoetermeer residents, even if they have not secured a ticket for the performance.
