Hennie Minneboo
I'm a diamond, aren't I?
Before the conversation starts, the neighborhood police officer speaks to her briefly. He briefly shares what he is working on so that Hennie is aware of something going on in the Alferbos. And that is exactly what she needs. Because her commitment to "her" residents is great.
Meanwhile, Hennie Minneboo has been chairman of residents' committee Alferbos for 12 years. She does this with passion and a big heart. She grew up in a hospitality family in Beverwijk where she experienced both the social and the hard side. She cannot stand injustice. That is what drives her. Together with a team of residents from the flat, she works hard to ensure a pleasant living environment. 'Clean, whole, safe and livable. That's what we're going for.
Working together is important to Hennie. "You need each other to solve problems Not only cooperate with the housing corporation, but also with the Owners' Association, the neighborhood police officer, the neighborhood liaison and with the residents of the Alferbos. By the way, I don't distinguish between tenants and buyers in the building. We all use the same elevator, the same entrance and have the same houses. We are all residents of the Alferbos".
Reports about public spaces are reported to the municipality through the municipality app. For issues about the apartment, she contacts the housing association. She does let residents make their own reports first, as she is not a conduit. But if residents are not being heard, she raises the alarm. And then she is very clear. Well-informed and knowledgeable. "I know I can get very angry sometimes. But I've also learned by now that I should go out for a smoke then. That works better".
"Following up and resolving complaints reported through the customer portal does not always work well. I don't think that's possible. Then I use my contacts to make sure it gets resolved. I am happy to help residents in this way".
Hennie since February of this year also a member of the tenants association HUIB of De Goed Woning. An active association that works daily for its members, the residents' committees and all other tenants of De Goed Woning. She has a role there as an advisor to residents' committees. "For example, if a residents' committee needs to be established or if they have questions, I can advise them. I have extensive experience in that by now".
Hennie is proud of what she and "her" team accomplished. A ban on placing bikes and scooters in front of the flat. Organized twice a big neighborhood barbecue for more than 100 residents. A green and clean middle yard. There is also a "care and share app" on which residents can give away items for free, ask for help or offer food. "I'm a diamond by now, right?" she says with a smile. "For now, I'm not leaving here."
