Getting someone else to vote

If you are unable to vote in person, you can have someone else vote on your behalf by giving them a proxy.

Using the voting pass

The easiest way is to fill voting pass the back of the voting pass . You must also sign it. Please provide a copy of your passport, ID card, or driver’s license. This can also be a photo on a cell phone. The following rules apply:

  • The person voting for you lives in Zoetermeer.
  • The person who is voting on your behalf must also cast their own vote at the same time.
  • In addition to their own vote, this person may cast votes for up to two other people.

You can also submit your request at the front desk in City Hall. In that case, please come to Engelandlaan with the person you wish to authorize. Please indicate that you would like to request a written power of attorney for the election of city council members. No appointment is necessary.

You may submit your request in person until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17.

Online, by mail, or by email

It is no longer possible to designate someone to vote on your behalf online, by mail, or by email.

You changed your mind and want to vote yourself?

Once you have issued a written authorisation, you cannot revoke it. This means that you can no longer vote yourseld for of the members of the municipal council.
