Social Return on Investment (SROI).
Through Social Return on Investment, as a contractor of the municipality, you help job seekers and apprentices find a job or apprenticeship. You use a percentage of the tender sum for your contract for this purpose. The percentage applicable to your contract can be found in the request for proposal, selection or tender instructions.
When interpreting Social Return, the municipality of Zoetermeer applies the 'building blocks method'. The essence of the building blocks method is that the entrepreneur has more freedom in the interpretation of Social Return. As a contractor, you can put together your own package of Social Return building blocks, which should ultimately represent a value of your SROI obligation.
