Young people and starters

The housing corporations are also offering independent social housing on the Woonnet Haaglanden website specifically for young people aged 18 to 23.

As waiting times for youth housing in Zoetermeer and Haaglanden are relatively long, it is important for young people to register as a house seeker through Woonnet Haaglanden in good time - ideally at the age of 18. This registration costs €12.50 per year and must be renewed manually every year.

In addition to the social housing available through Woonnet Haaglanden, Interveste and Ad Hoc also offer housing in Zoetermeer. These are temporary rentals or anti-squat housing. Due to their low rental prices, these options are suitable for young people.

Furthermore, several private landlords are active in Zoetermeer. Among them are also youth housing rentals. These youth housing units often have a rental price comparable to the social rental segment. In recent and upcoming years, for example, some offices have been transformed into housing for young people.
