Overview of monumental trees

All monumental trees are listed in the overview monumental trees. This list is updated every 5 years.

Criteria used

Basic requirements:

  • the tree must have a minimum estimated age of 50 years, with the exception of memorial trees;
  • the tree must not be in an irreversible condition and must have a minimum life expectancy of 10 years.

Furthermore, the tree must have at least one specific characteristic such as:

  • are image-defining, irreplaceable to the character of the environment;
  • dendrological, environmental, ecological or scientific of great value;
  • cultural-historically valuable are for example: memorial tree, marker tree, cross/chapel tree, special pruning form, special growth form;
  • have mythological significance;
  • adopted;
  • are special fruit varieties.
