On Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, we in the Netherlands commemorate the victims of the Holocaust. During this day we reflect on the atrocities of World War II. On January 27, it will be exactly 80 years since the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration and extermination camp was liberated in 1945. Worldwide, this day is seen as a moment of remembrance and awareness.
Film screening: The Auschwitz Report
In cooperation with Filmhuis Cameo, we are screening the impressive film The Auschwitz Report. This gripping film is based on the true story of 2 young Slovakian Jews who managed to escape from Auschwitz in 1944. Their courageous journey through the mountains back to Slovakia, with the aim of informing the world about the atrocities in the camp, is the core of this compelling story.
