Research into insulation of low-rise buildings in Driemanspolder (district 13)

In early 2026, residents of low-rise homes in Driemanspolder (district 13, between Van Leeuwenhoeklaan the A12) will have the opportunity to participate in a heat survey using drones free of charge. The Driemanspolder Community Interest Group is collaborating with a professional drone company that takes thermal images at night. This will give residents insight into the insulation of their homes and enable them to take targeted measures to improve living comfort and reduce energy costs.

In the coming weeks, enthusiastic volunteers from the Community Interest Group will be going door to door to inform neighbors about this campaign.

How does it work?

  • The drone will fly around the residential blocks in January 2026.
  • No one is looking through windows, and individuals are not recognizable in the images.
  • The exact date will be announced a few days in advance, depending on the weather.

Thanks to a subsidy from the municipality of Zoetermeer, there are no costs for residents. However, registration is mandatory so that everyone receives timely information about the preparations, planning, and results.

Registration is open until January 4, 2026.
