Renovation of Eerste Stationsstraat on January 5
The redevelopment of Eerste Stationsstraat will start on January 5. The street will be redesigned to improve traffic safety and appearance. On the DoeMee website: Eerste Stationsstraat shows the design and features a 3D video of the future situation.
The work will be carried out by contractor KWS Infra. The street will be broken up in several phases. KWS Infra will start at the intersection with Paltelaan and work towards Karel Doormanlaan/Oranjelaan. The work is expected to last until the summer.
Local residents and businesses will receive a letter from the contractor. Businesses will be informed about the work on a phase-by-phase basis. Residents will receive regular updates via the KWS infra construction app.
Detour via Dr. J.W. Paltelaan
Eerste stationsstraat a busy thoroughfare for through traffic and will be closed to through traffic during the works. Traffic will be diverted via Dr. J.W. Paltelaan. This will be indicated by yellow signs.
Cyclists follow temporary diversion route

- You cannot use the normal bike path on Dr. J.W. Paltelaan. The bus lane will be specially designated as a bike path and traffic controllers will be present. You can use this special bike path.
