Beware of fake messages and phishing

Recently, fake messages and phishing attacks are on the rise again. Scammers send messages via SMS, WhatsApp or e-mail that appear to come from, for example, a debt collection agency, the tax authorities or another trusted organization. These messages often contain an invoice, payment link or document and are so well faked that they are difficult to distinguish from real messages. Our important message: do not respond to such messages and do not pay!

Both the municipality and the Inland Revenue never send messages via SMS, WhatsApp or email about late payments. We will also never ask for personal information in this way or to transfer money through a link.

Have you received a suspicious message?

Then do not click on links or pay requests. Mark the message as spam and delete it immediately. Protect yourself and stay alert!
