Pear fun: turn the orchard into a nature experience during NLdoet
On March 13 and 14, the Oranjefonds is once again organizing NLdoet, the largest volunteer campaign in the Netherlands. Throughout the Netherlands, there are hundreds of small jobs you can help with. The Hof van Seghwaert is also participating. Every year, NLdoet is a celebration in the pear orchard. It's the perfect time to get the orchard ready for spring.
On Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, we will be working between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. We are still looking for volunteers for Saturday. We have another great list of jobs, both light work and jobs for the strong. There is plenty to do, so your help is greatly appreciated. Among other things, we will be spreading compost, sowing and planting flowers, tidying up the strawberry field, painting the shed, tidying up the vegetable garden beds, and much more! We will provide tools, coffee/tea, and snacks. And, of course, a delicious lunch at noon. Afterwards, there will be a glass of soda/wine/beer waiting for you, and you can chat with other volunteers.
Please register via activiteiten@hofvanseghwaert.nl or via www.nldoet.nl/activiteit/perenpret-maak-van-de-boomgaard-een-natuurbeleving-met-lunch so we know who we can count on. Even if you can only come for a few hours, you are very welcome.
More information can be found at www.hofvanseghwaert.nl, on Facebook and Instagram. De Hof van Seghwaert is located at the parking lot at Gaardedreef 169, 2723 AZ Zoetermeer, a 2-minute walk from the RandstadRail Seghwaert stop.
