Placement of artwork The Column of Palenstein

Neighbors were invited to a meeting earlier this year. There they were explained about the design of the artwork and the ideas behind it. They were also told that the artist Q.S. Serafijn has passed away. His wife Anneloes van der Leun and his partner Jan Willem Terlouw further elaborated and completed the design. On the day of placement, The Pillar of Palenstein will be transported to its proper location on a large truck. The contractor will be working on it for part of the day. After that, some work is needed to build a staircase to the artwork and finish the ground around it. The unveiling of the artwork will be on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
