Guided Tour of the Nature Garden on Sunday, March 22

Color is returning to the Nature Garden. All the more reason to take a lovely guided walk there on Sunday, March 22—the second day of spring.

The guide will be happy to provide you with information about the various landscapes and what grows, blooms, and lives there. The blooming season is certainly getting underway again, featuring yellow daffodils—aptly called “Easter lilies” on Walcheren—as well as slender primroses, lesser celandine, and spring snowflakes. The striking flower of the greater butterbur is rearing its head again. But you can also see the lesser butterbur in bloom.

The tour lasts over an hour and is free of charge. The walk starts at 2:00 p.m. at the picnic table opposite the site where Westpunt is under construction. (Entrance to Westerpark via Turfberg at no. 1; follow the signs to Natuurtuin / Westpunt).

The tour is less suitable for wheelchair users. They can visit part of the Nature Garden via a separate entrance. Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
