Tour of Nature Garden on Sunday, Feb. 23
Even in the winter months, the Nature and Landscape Garden looks beautiful. On a day when the sky is bright blue and the winter sun shines in your face. But also on one of those gray days, "when the sky is a hazy shade of winter," as Paul Simon so beautifully described the winter haze in 1968.
Take a walk with our guide and enjoy, among other things, the beautiful sight of the pale yellow reed beds in winter and the thin tendrils of the willows in the grove. During the walk, the guide will tell you about the special features of the different landscapes and what lives and grows in them.
The tour lasts over an hour; participation is free. The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the picnic table opposite where West Point stood (Westerpark entrance via Turfberg at No. 1, on the signs follow towards Nature Garden/West Point).
The tour is less suitable for wheelchair users. They can visit part of the Nature Garden through a separate entrance. Dogs are not allowed into the garden.
