Nature garden walk on Sunday, February 22

On Sunday, February 22, one of the guides will be happy to take you on a winter walk through the Nature and Landscape Garden.

You will then receive an explanation of the different landscapes that used to define our surroundings. And of the plants, trees, shrubs, and animals that were and are characteristic of these landscapes. Such as the bog myrtle in the peat landscape that stretched far into the Middle Ages: it was a marshy area where people could not build a life. Until it was reclaimed and would change dramatically over the centuries.

The tour lasts over an hour and is free of charge. The walk starts at 2:00 p.m. at the picnic table opposite the site where Westpunt is under construction. (Entrance to Westerpark via Turfberg at no. 1; follow the signs to Natuurtuin / Westpunt).

The tour is less suitable for wheelchair users. They can visit part of the Nature Garden via a separate entrance. Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
