Nature Garden round-trip walk on Sunday, July 27
The Nature Garden is looking very lush thanks to the warm weather. The coltsfoot is as tall as a man in several places, with leaves the size of pumpkins. And a variety of plants and herbs are blooming. Like the white meadowsweet in the meadow by the drawbridge, the pink queenwort and the blue-purple broom along the water's edge and the bright blue wild chicory in the insect field. And there is much more to see and hear when you walk with the guide on Sunday, July 27.
The tour lasts over an hour; participation is free. The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the picnic table opposite where West Point stood (Westerpark entrance via Turfberg at No. 1, on the signs follow towards Nature Garden/West Point).
The tour is less suitable for users of walkers and wheelchairs. They can visit part of the Nature Garden through a separate entrance.
Dogs are not allowed in the garden.
