South Holland power grid is full

The power grid in South Holland is full. This means that there is not enough room for additional electricity. Large companies and institutions that need a new or stronger connection are put on a waiting list. For households and small businesses, nothing will change for the time being.

TenneT, together with regional grid operator Stedin, is exploring solutions that will make room on the grid in the short term Meanwhile, grid operators continue to work hard to expand the electricity grid. The municipality is working with Stedin to assess the impact on new homes, transportation, businesses and schools.

No impact individuals

For small consumers such as individuals and small businesses, there are no consequences. So there are now no restrictions for individuals to install a single charging station or heat pump, for example. There are also no consequences for existing residential construction plans for the time being.
