Zoetermeer wants to be natural gas-free by 2040. We are switching to a society that uses clean energy. 

In the pilot areas of Palenstein low-rise and the Roden neighborhood in the Buytenwegh district, the housing corporation is insulating and improving rental housing. The rental and owner-occupied homes here are intermingled. We call this speckled ownership. The municipality wants homeowners in these areas to participate in the housing corporation's insulation approach. To help with this, there is the grant "Pilot private individuals in speckled property. 

How it works

The housing corporation's approach to insulation varies by area. In the Roden neighborhood in Buytenwegh, the continuous roof is insulated and renewed. In Palenstein low-rise, residents themselves choose measures from 'the menu' provided by the contractor. Therefore, the subsidy also differs per area.

Roden neighborhood in Buytenwegh

For renewing and insulating the roof by the housing corporation's contractor.

  • Do you live in a corner house? Then you will receive a € 15,000 subsidy.
  • Do you live in a terraced house? Then you will receive a €10,000 subsidy.

Palenstein low-rise

For insulation and home improvement by the housing association contractor.

  • 30% subsidy on selected measures from the contractor's menu.
  • Do you live in a corner house? If so, you will receive a maximum subsidy of €10,000.
  • Do you live in a terraced house? If so, you will receive a maximum subsidy of €7,500.
  • Additional subsidy of €2,500 for installing a heat pump.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You are the owner of the property.
  • The housing corporation's contractor will perform the work.

Enclose with the application

  • A signed quote from the housing association contractor.
  • Are you renting the property and applying for a subsidy? Then send along a statement of de minimis aid. In this statement you indicate whether you received state aid in recent years.
  • Do you live in Palenstein low-rise and want additional subsidy for a heat pump? Then you have to prove that the net heat demand of the house is lower than 50 KWH_th/m2/year. You do this with an energy calculation. Do you need help with this? Then send an e-mail to energieloket@zoetermeer.nl.

Have all documents ready digitally before filling out the form. You will send the documents as attachments.

Apply for grant Pilot individuals in speckled property

You can apply for this grant until December 31, 2025. 
 

How long will it take?

Is your application complete? Then we will let you know within 6 weeks of submission whether you will receive the grant.
