Presenting certificates participants Z-route Zoetermeer: 21 participants celebrate special milestone

During a festive gathering, the first group of 21 participants received their certificates for completing the full Self-Reliance Route (Z-route) for civic integration participants at Piëzo Foundation. The Z-route is part of the Integration Act 2021 and focuses on participants who learn by doing, with an emphasis on language in practice, participation and self-reliance.

This meeting marks an important milestone in the implementation of the new civic integration system in Zoetermeer. The presentation took place in the presence of family, teachers and volunteers. Each participant was addressed personally and surprised with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. The theme of the meeting was appreciation, recognition and future perspective.

Alderman Frinking: "The participants went through their journey with great dedication and commitment. And participation starts with investing in themselves. By learning the language, making contact and being active in the neighborhood, they contribute to society, to Zoetermeer and to their own future."

The award underlines the importance of cooperation between volunteers and civil society organizations. And working together to ensure that people do not remain on the sidelines, but can actively participate.
