On June 27, 2023, the City Council decided to expand housing for the UWV in City Hall. This expansion will allow the organizations to work together even better. In addition, Zoetermeer has been mandated by the state to establish a Regional Work Center where services to employers, employees and job seekers will be provided jointly.

The UWV has submitted a request to expand the number of UWV workstations and consultation rooms in City Hall. To make this expansion possible, modifications will be made to part of the Werkplein, Ter Zake Het Ondernemershuis and the second floor of City Hall. The renovation began in March 2024 and is scheduled to last through September 2024.

Work

The work will take place primarily inside the building. In addition, an air handling cabinet will be installed on the roof of City Hall. This cabinet regulates heating, ventilation and air conditioning in the building. During the work, information will be shared on this page about Southbound's accessibility and any noise pollution.

New temporary location Workplace

During the renovation, the Werkplein will temporarily move to a new location at Zuidwaarts 2, the building of the former De Voorde museum. The Werkplein mailbox at the old location at Zuidwaarts 9 will remain open and can be used throughout the renovation.

New temporary location Ter Zake Het Ondernemershuis

Startups and entrepreneurs are welcome to visit Ter Zake's new location at Stadhuisplein 22 for an informal chat, advice or networking meeting. Entrepreneurs can also make use of one of the flexible workstations.
