Greening downtown: now year-round

New perennial planters ensure that the City Center remains green beyond the summer months. The planter at the Promenadeplein has also been given an edge to sit on. In this way, residents and visitors to Zoetermeer's Stadshart can enjoy more greenery all year round.

As winter approaches, the flowers are retreating and Zoetermeer is saying goodbye to the temporarily placed hanging baskets, window boxes and flower pyramids. The colorful flowers gave Zoetermeer's Stadshart a lot of atmosphere last summer and will return in April.

Alderman Marijke van der Meer looks with satisfaction at the greening: "The permanent planters are not only a beautiful addition to the Stadshart itself, but also contribute to an always attractive outdoor space. The planters provide places where people can take a break, relax or enjoy their surroundings. This fits within our broader vision to make downtown greener, more attractive and enjoyable for everyone."

A total of 20 bins were installed, 13 round solid bins, 6 anthracite-colored tall bins with palm trees and one movable bin.
