Housing Westergo
Housing Corporation De Goede Woning (DGW) has a plan to replace 20 bungalows on Westergo and 3 bungalows on Oostergo with new construction. DGW's plan is to replace the bungalows with 2-story apartments, totaling about 44 homes. DGW will assist current residents in finding replacement rental housing.

Which bungalows are involved?
The addresses are:
- Biesland 5, 6, 7
- Collinsland 6, 7, 8
- Dchterland 15, 16, 17
- Duiveland 6, 7, 8
- Flevoland 6, 7, 8
- Montferland 1, 2, 55, 56, 57 and
- Salland 1, 2, 3 (these homes are located along Oostergo)
Why new construction?
The 23 bungalows are in need of replacement. They are currently in poor condition. Renovation is not an option due to the relatively high costs, operating time and future-proofing of the houses. Also, the floor plan of the homes no longer meets today's requirements. New construction offers the opportunity to increase sustainability, build slightly larger homes and add an extra layer of housing. In this way, DGW wants to offer more tenants a suitable and sustainable home.
Participation
There is no established plan yet for the approximately 44 new homes to be built. DGW has made the first sketches. On November 28, 2023, local residents were able to view the first sketches during a walk-in meeting and provide points of interest for further development into a preliminary design. The municipality is aware of concerns about parking. Neighbors who wanted to comment on this or who saw other concerns, could let employees of the municipality know during the meeting. During the evening, DGW and the municipality also showed the planning of how they will continue working on the plan. Here you can read the report of the evening.
Second meeting June 19, 2024
On June 19, there was another walk-in meeting in the afternoon and evening., DGW showed the preliminary design of the new building plan and solar drawings (see below under Documents) and furthermore, the results of the traffic study in the Landen neighborhood were on display and the new process planning. Read the report of the afternoon and evening meeting here. The questions asked in the first and second meeting have been compiled and answered in this document.
Third meeting March 12, 2025
On March 12, 2025 was another meeting. De Goede Woning (DGW) showed the modified preliminary design of the new building plan and indicated the points on which this plan has been modified after the previous participation meetings and the site visit with local residents. There was also information about how the municipality plans to organize parking and what the next steps are for the plan. A report of the meeting was made and the questions asked were answered. After this meeting, De Goede Woning will make the final design of the building plan.
